Definition
in a comparative construction or an equative construction, the predicate that defines the scale on which the comparee and standard are located. Example: in Your cat is as big as my dog, size is the gradable predicative scale on which it is asserted that the position of the cat is the same as the position of the dog. (Section 17.2.1)
