Definition
a trivalent event involving physical transfer, usually also extended to 'mental transfer', that is used in defining the ditransitive construction. Examples: giving and sending are physical transfer events (and give and send are transfer verbs), and showing and telling are 'mental transfer' events (and show and tell are 'mental transfer' verbs).
