Definition
a more highly grammaticalized strategy for encoding the relation in major propositional acts ( modifier– referent, predicate– argument), in which there is an invariant third morpheme that signals the relationship between two elements. Example: in English Jerry's bicycle, the invariant genitive form -'s is a linker. (Section 4.5)
