Definition
a complex predicate in which both elements of the complex predicate denote processes, and those processes constitute the subevents of the event denoted by the basic event complex predicate as a whole. Example: in English Please go get the newspaper, go get is an example of a basic event complex predicate. (Section 13.1.2)
