Definition
an event in which the change that a participant undergoes in the course of an event is not in any particular 'direction'. Example: in The ball was bouncing in the playpen, the ball does not undergo an incremental or 'directed' change in either vertical or horizontal direction: the vertical motion is up and down, and the horizontal motion goes in any direction.
