Definition
a complex sentence construction in which the events denoted by the predicate in the two clauses are of the same type. Example: Sumie saw the dog and Norie the cat is an instance of a predicate identity coordinate clause construction: the event denoted by the predicate in both clauses is seeing. (Section 16.5)
