Definition
a type of nonbasic voice construction that expresses a situation in which the P - participant has a higher discourse salience than the A participant. Example: the English Passive Construction, as in The boys were followed by a mountain lion, is an instance of the passive–inverse voice construction. (Sections 6.3.4, 8.3)
