Example: Mandarin Chinese Tā gēn nǐ yíyàng gāo 'She is as tall as you' is an instance of an associative equative – the predicate is yíyàng gāo '[is] one.manner tall' and the standard nǐ 'you' uses the flag gēn 'with'.
